Our Whole Lives Program

In alternate years, this comprehensive sexuality curriculum is offered to those young people in grades 7 to 9. Jointly developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ, Our Whole Lives (O.W.L.) has 25 sessions, generally offered in classes either before or after regular religious education classes on Sunday mornings. Sometimes two or three sessions are scheduled as part of a weekend overnight. Prior to registering their teens in the O.W.L. program, all parents are required to attend a comprehensive orientation and provide written permission for their son or daughter to attend. Parents and guardians are urged to learn about and prepare their families for this program before their children reach grade 7. The DRE and trained O.W.L. facilitators welcome your inquiries at any time and can provide written information about Our Whole Lives. We will next offer Our Whole Lives for grades 7-9 during the 2010-11 year.
